Meeting Changes
04-29-20: Meeting Changes
Please be advised that the Villages Computer Club board of directors and the leadership of the Villages Computers Plus group have decided to continue with the suspension of normal meetings throughout the month of May, 2020.
As of this date, 4/29/2020, we have no specific guidance from the Villages Recreation Dept. indicating when we might be able to resume meeting in person again, or what limitations may or may not be imposed on such meetings. In addition, it is the unanimous feeling on the part of the leadership of both organizations that there are simply too many unknowns with Covid-19 to be able to predict when a resumption of our meetings will actually take place, regardless of any future scheduling announcements from the Recreation Dept. Our decision is predicated upon a very pragmatic view of our demographic here in the Villages. We recognize our rather unique situation with respect to our significantly increased age-based vulnerability, and are acting with an abundance of caution. For your information, please note the link that follows containing “Guidelines (for) Opening up America Again” as published by the White House and the CDC: https://www.whitehouse.gov/openingamerica/#preparedness
During the month of May, we will reach out to you again to provide updates, as needed. Lastly, we will continue to post scheduled presentations as they become due just as we have done since our meeting suspension began. So, please visit our websites regularly and stay connected: Here are links to the VCC: https://www.thevillagescomputerclub.com/ and to the VCP: https://villagescp.weebly.com/
Stay healthy & stay safe.
Best regards.
