Please be advised that the discount deal struck between the VCC and Malwarebytes was predicated on the VCC being able to limit access to the link for the discounted offer to dues paying members only. Since the start of 2020 payment of dues is no longer required by the VCC. As a consequence, we must cease providing that link to anyone who sends the VCC a request to take advantage of the deal. Malwarebytes may continue to allow members who already have a discounted license to renew at the reduced price or they may not – we just don’t know. The VCC arrangement with Malwarebytes was very informal, with no contract in place and hence no formal guarantee the program would continue indefinitely.

It is worthwhile to note that the VCC discount only applied to one license, and was NEVER a good deal if more than one device required protection. Presently, it is very common and very smart for folks to install Malwarebytes Premium on their tablets, and smart phones, in addition to their PCs; thus making the original VCC deal even less attractive.

As of 5/11/2020 better deals are available from Malwarebytes, Amazon and possibly Newegg. If you look at the Amazon or Newegg websites, just be very careful that you get a legitimate product key from a reputable seller. And if you try your luck on eBay, please be EXTRA careful. As an example, May 13 on eBay, I saw a “Malwarebytes Lifetime Premium edition license” on sale for just $14.99 from a seller with an 87.5% approval rating after only 24 total sales (it should have been 100%). Therefore, this CAN NOT be a legitimate offer. Just remember: “If it sounds too good to be true – IT IS !!!”
